Venting is another consideration. The NovaKool RFU9000 9.1cuft is designed to vent out of the bottom front, so you can seal up the two side vents on the outside of your camper. No more bugs, spider eggs or whatever nesting in your vents.
In really hot areas this might be a downside, as the ~20 to ~30 watts per hour is vented from the condenser coils into the living space of the RV...but that is about like having a laptop running so no biggie. In really cold climates that extra little bit of inside heat might be nice.
I always found it kind of strange that the propane fridges had such a extremely hot area on the backside of the fridge, just a couple of insulated inches from an area that is supposed to keep ice cream frozen. For sure there must be some non-negligible amount of heat transfer through that insulation.
