I attended the FMCA Rally in Indio last January. I looked at examples of paint quality and got estimates from four vendors.
I just had the decals removed and a partial body paint (covering all shadows of decals) on my RV. Work was done by Collision Clinic in Palm Desert, Removing decals was a problem as they come in different mil thicknesses and can not all be pulled off, especially if fractured by the suns rays. To remove the difficult decals they used a special tool just for that purpose. It looked like a stack of silicone pancakes placed on a rod and put on a drill. It quickly removed the decals without damage to the fiberglass surface. Painting is an Art and not all paint is the same. I recommend a professional painter who guarantees his work and products.
