A long time ago the Supreme Court determined that `lifetime' meant `seven years' for the product under consideration at the time.
I'd bet that the fine print indicates that if you miss a year bringing it in for $99 the warranty becomes void. If you sell the TT I doubt it would carry over. Does the dealer warranty cover parts AND labor?
If the local dealer does good work and it is a TT that I could live with, I'd go with him less the warranty.
However, that opinion might change if other CW stores would honor the original CW warranty.
