My friend has a 2012 GM dually Duramax and tracks his DEF usage. His truck is mostly a garage queen TV only averaging about 12mpg. His DEF costs about 2% of diesel spent over the same miles. My 38mpg diesel passenger car is similar, right at 2% of diesel costs.
