When I took the TT in for the warranty work, I asked them to re & re the drums to check the bearings and brakes. Makes me wonder what would have happened if I had just left it alone.
When we bought the TT, we had them install Dexter equalizers and wet bolts. What if somebody pumped grease into the axles? They also sent the TT to a shop down the street to get shocks installed and that shop made some errors which I made them fix. Maybe somebody at that shop installed the equalizers as well and somebody got carried away with the grease gun.
At the least, I think I will go to the dealer and get them to show me exactly what's wrong first. I would consider redoing the brakes and seals, but the TT is still under warranty. It's got a 2 year warranty but I don't know if the brakes carry into the 2nd year.
Still pondering how this could have happened - somebody pumped in too much grease somewhere along the line or were the seals defective or not installed correctly? If anything I would have expected not enough grease.
