Delaware Title Transfer

Question

Anyone know how or where to proceed with a travel trailer title transfer in the state of Delaware ? It would be a private sale on a unit that is setup permanently on a site and has no registration or license plate just a title. We have the title with no lien. Both us and the buyers are non residents of Delaware. Anyone know of someplace near Rehoboth Beach that could do this paper work ? I read the info on Delaware DMV website and do not understand the 4.25 percent transfer fee mentioned and if it applies to our situation,.

Maybe AAA could help you? Or contact a Delaware RV dealer, they should be familiar with title transfers.Contact the Delaware DMV, they will know.

both of you just go to the dmv and get it over with, that 4.25 might be a sales tax .

Delaware DMV would be a good place to start.

You don't have to register it to transfer the title.
The seller should fill out the seller portion of the title and you fill out the buyer portion.
Then just bring the title to the DMV and do a title transfer. They'll tax you based on the book value.

Registration is a separate step just like cars, you can transfer the title of a car without tagging it.

If you call the DMV they can let you know if there is anything else you might need to do.
