Dave told me that he is "happy" with his new blog and wants to move on. So, thats that. As to what happened, the story is that Dave (Whazoo) posted images with his TR that were 800 pixels. He awoke in the morning to find the images all resized with a note at the bottom. Apparently that ticked him off since he had spent maybe a week shaping the images and the trip report. Whatever the case, he's gone from this forum.more info here
I think its a shame, but I doubt this string will last much longer until it gets closed like all the others.
