I would never be able to get comfortable enough to sleep in the back seat of my truck, or on the floor, if the back seat is folded up. (the floor is uneven)
In the last week, I've interacted with 2 delivery drivers (one dropping my camper off to me, another picking it up a week later- long story).
Both of them had removed the back seat and built a platform with a mattress on top of it. Both had dog-flavored traveling companions (one guy had 1 dog, the other had 2 dogs). Both seemed genuinely happy with doing it.
