Yep, that's what we found when my Wife was vehicle shopping. The only 1 or 2 year old Ford Edge SUV's we could find on the market were retired rental cars, they all had >25K miles on them and none had a power lift gate. The prices were so close to our X-plan pricing it just didn't make sense to lose 2+ years of warranty and wear/tear for a few thousands bucks.
