It looks like your design is close to what's being offered in the market. It might benefit you to buy the simplest trailer with frame and running gear attached and go from there.
FWIW, I gutted a TT and rebuilt it inside how I wanted it. It took about 6 mos of almost full time work and over $5K. The restoration thread is in my signature line.
