^^^^ and this. To add to those comments, I call it "pride of ownership".
I grew up poor, but the old man still had us kids keep the yard mowed, and showed us how to keep things fixed and cleaned up around the place. It taught me that you can still keep things nice and be proud of what you have, even if it isn't much.
So yes, these days, my trucks are clean inside, waxed outside, same with the camper....even the horse trailers are clean and washed and dried thoroughly inside after use.
