Di-electric spray

Can di-electric spray be sprayed directly to the 7 pin cord on tt? I sprayed it on and several days later, as we hooked up to leave the CG, the tv trailer app said the tt was disconnected. After several minutes, it changed to connected trailer. Am I using this correctly?

    For the best connection, the terminals should be CLEAN and DRY.

    Amen
    WD stands for water displacing. It is a terrible lubricant and does the bad things that the person I quoted states.

    Like said, di-electric grease/spray is non-conductive.

    I use DeoxIT D5 by Caig;

  • Remember, dielectric means it is non-conductive so it may hinder good connection. It will also help prevent corrosion but if you want the very best connection, make sure it's clean and dry and the contacts are shiny.
