I have a fibreglass nose cone, the first thing it when I got the TT home was spray rocker guard about 2 1/2' up. Stones bounce off and don't leave a mark. If it does get marked up you can touch it up.
I used the pint cans with an undercoating gun, but you can get it in areosol cans. With the under coating gun you can adjust the texture with air preasure, the areosol cans give a fairly fine texture.
