- krobbeExplorerDad had 62' Impala, 71' Sububan, 74' Nova, 78' Caprice, 82' Olds88 while I was growing up. He only bought used. All but 2 of my vehicles have been GMs as well. The 78' Honda Civic was reliable and cheap to own. The Audi 5000s was unreliable and expensive to fix. Traded it in on a Chevy pickup. All my vehicles have been bought used. Wife had a fleece once... Never again.
I walked 2 miles to school. My kids get driven or ride a bus. What a bunch of softies! - Dog_FolksExplorerIf it was not a GM product, it was never in our yard.
My dad drove Chevy's mostly.
My mom always drove a Caddy.
Never had a breakdown. - turbojimmyExplorer

No, For as long as I can remember, my dad either owned Pontiac's, Buick's or Chevrolet's.
Me too. When I was really young my dad was a Mopar guy. Drag raced some sick 60's models. Had kids, towed some travel trailers with a couple different Furys. I learned to drive in a Chrysler Newport. Not too much after that he moved to all GMs. Since then, between my dad, me and my 2 siblings we've owned nearly every GM product they offer.
Dad tried a Ford in the late 80s. A Lincoln Continental, affectionately referred to as the "stinkin Lincoln". First and only Ford he owned. I had an '88 Mustang GT, too. It was supercharged with N20 but I abandoned it for a Buick (Grand National).
Some of the favorite GMs in the family: - The_Mad_NorskyExplorerI do like the cartoon. Dad had a lot of cars, Fords among them.
- I grew up in a GM family. My mother worked at a GM dealer that later adopted Chrysler products for ~40 years. A Ford product has never made it into my parents garage all these years.
Funny because I currently have 2 Ford vehicles in my garage now. - turbojimmyExplorerJust realized this is the Tow Vehicle section.
"Black Betty" towing my bro's TT (and my Chevy 454 powered Allegro): - colliehaulerExplorer IIIIn my life time Dad had a Packard then Oldsmobile then Ford then Chrysler then his last car was a Ford.

So FishOnOne...where do you think you went wrong ? :D - Always Fords and they always ran. Then Dad bought a pos 1985 S10 that needed an engine and three transmissions before 80,000 miles. Dad bought Mom an Olds Cutlass and should have been called gutless... at least it ran. When Dad passed she bought a Lexus LS400, great car.
Thanks for the cartoon. Although any company could be the punchline. - FarmerjonExplorerMy Dad always bought Nash and than Rambler. Even in the pictures of him in the 30's and 40's he is standing beside his Nash's.
Us kids begged him to buy a Ford or Chevy but he kept buying New Nash's, 56,58 59,60,61,62 and finally in my senior year he got a 64 Chevy.
My 1st new car was a 66 El Camino so I could haul my motorcycles and race the car.
