Just my experience with a Diesel. '04 Dodge/Ram 5.9L has been from Charleston,S.C. to Portland,Or., from Baltimore,Md. to Moab,Ut.,From Drumheller,Canada to our home base in southeastern In. All those trips towing. I also use it as my DD.I change oil/filter twice a year(spring and fall). I have bought fuel when I needed it along the way. Never had a fuel related issue. Trans and rearend fluids changed approx. every 30k miles. Only major repair was the trans rebuild at 155K. Now have 190K and counting. Going to Rapid City this Aug. and have no worries for the round trip.
