my 2002 duramax is noisier than a gasser when pulling up to the drive-up window at the bank.
but it is quieter than my 1997 vortec 7400 when towing a trailer .
at highway speeds i find my duramax to be quiet enough just cruising along without a towed .
i like quiet cars .
i had a couple of lexus LS 400 V8 sedans that were the quietest cars available at the time .
the missus E350 4matic sedan is also very quiet .
i know what quiet is .
a 2002 duramax is quiet compared to any Cummins or Powerstroke .
even though duramax is my first choice , i would rather own a cummins or PSD , than any gasser pickup.
