I agree I hope it stays low thru the summer but I think something very bad will happen soon in the Middle East. Then you will need your seat belt on when you see you fast fuel prices will raise back up.

The big truck stops add cost of overnight parking to fuel price.
For some reason that adds quite a bit.
About 15 years ago I filled up diesel at FlyingJ simply become it was cheaper.
That no longer is the case.
Now in CA small stations in the middle of nowhere seems to offer best prices.

I just filled up 40 gallons at $1.999/gal in Shelton, WA today. Port of Tacoma truck stop wanted $2.499/gal this morning.

6 months in this trend and we get paid for filling up ;)

$3.25 in Maui, but 84 degrees and sunny. No-one is complaining.

Lovely. Unfortunately the southwest is holding on to higher prices on diesel with it's fingernails. Phoenix/Tucson area is running around $2.00 with occasional stations a few cents cheaper. The prices are dropping but it's down 2-3 cents and back up 1 or 2 the next day. Amazing how prices are so slow to drop but so fast to rise, and the world is so awash in home heating oil/diesel that they're storing it on supertankers that aren't going anywhere.

Kroger / Fred Meyers in Anchorage, AK is $2.06 for diesel and around $2.26 for regular.
