Diesel vs gas......................
OK folks, there have been a few to many diesel vs gas threads that have shall we say gone to "Hell and a hand basket"! So if all of you would put in you BEST, no flaming reasons for going gas vs diese...

X3 on..Don't get hung up on the "recoup additional cost at resale" baloney..."
Once you go diesel, it will be difficult to persuade yourself to go back to gas...you may well just end up keeping it for a lot longer than originally thought. True that at any given mileage point a diesel in similar shape / year as a gasser will usually get you more $$..but at what point does that argument become moot.? As long as my Trans/Engine holds out...the rest I'll replace as required..hopefully be driving it past 500k..besides, its amazing what with a little bit of patience and practice, the things one can do with some painting/body work knowledge and a good set of HVLP..!
