Only took until the 2nd post to get off topic....
Shouldn't need a pump for the rear diff unless sway bar or something in the way. It's easy to squeeze out of the bottle. Not as much through a hose taped to the bottle, lol.
Unless you expect issues, IE existing damage to the cover, I'd not use any gasket maker on a rubber gasket. Light skin coat on a cork gasket.
