My concern with the flatbed option would be vertical clearance.
You put a 10-12ft high trailer on a flatbed with a deck that is 3-5 ft off the ground and your 13-17ft tall. Not sure about your area, but in IL legal height is 13ft 6inches. Might want to scope out the route and be sure you won't be knocking down street lights, traffic signals, power lines or any bridges you may have to pass under.
