I agree with Salem.... I was told to leave the battery on when connected to shore power for the converter and other things like LP detector (hardwired into 12 volt).
I did disconnect mine when I was not using trailer. Used the knife blade cut off switch.
Also, when traveling down the road, aren't the trailer brakes powered by the trailer battery?
