I have something very similar. I put the hooks on both sides of the camper. Most often I find that things like the picnic table and fire ring are too far from the camper for any awning to work well, but it's great for dry storage of stuff that usually clutters up the campsite. I got the tarp and used measurements from it to guide my placement of the hooks. Takes about 2 minutes to set up, don't have to worry if I pack it up wet...and it costs about $10 to replace if needed.
