You were given incorrect information, unless the seller made a three day right of rescission part of the sales contract. The law regarding 3 day rescission pertains to situations where the seller has come to your home, basically door to door salesmen. The logic behind the law is you really can't just walk away if you are in your home. It does not apply to purchases made in stores and other places of business. In my opinion, useless the buyer could prove the dealer knew of the defects and actively concealed those defects, his strategy should be talk to the dealer and hope for the best, all the while expecting the worst.
