Strangely they sell WDH which are unable to back up with the hitch attached?! Are there a lot of people driving their TT only forward?
I've not quite understood the "can't back up" with a WD hitch. And this is likely 'cause I have no issue backing up with mine....which is a DrawTite round bar with chains and a friction Sway Control. I always back up with mine and really never think about it. There must be some issue with some lash-ups.
But many lashups, perhaps most can make contact and damage the control.
There ARE quite a few variables that can make the difference. Best advice is to get a buddy to observe while you slowly jackknife the lashup to see just what is going on there.
