Do I need a WDH with a 25ft TT

That's being pulled by a 2012 F350 diesel? I think the newer trucks have some sort of anti-sway but so far as I know mine does not. The truck will be heavier than the TT tho. TT 6500 truck 8500

I suspect the answer is yes but want to check.

  • WDH probably not, but away control may be required. I've pulled my moms 24 ft TT with nothing but a ball and it was just fine. I bought a 26 ft TT about 6300 lbs. It tows horrible, needs at least one sway bar, 2 would be better. Have done the weight thing, really don't need any distribution. All this with a 08 F350.

    What truck are you using?

    He said a F-350.

  • That would be one less thing to worry about, thx for the answer.
  • I tow a 30ft trailer with a '17 F250 6.7l without WDH or sway bars. The trailer is under 8k and the truck weighs in at 8200lb. I have a great ride even in the wind. My truck does have anti-sway electronics but I don't think it has ever come on.
  • Yes. Shifting weight particularly back to the front wheels helps braking.
