100 miles approx 2 hour trip ? running a 2 way fridge on gas .
In order to make a 100 mile trip using a fully charged battery from the start, you do not need TV power to charge the battery from pin # 4, as long as you have pedestal power once you arrive at your site.
During longer term parking at your home, the detectors and radio sitting idle will have a draw . That @ 1 amp draw, depending on the size and condition of your battery may last a few days.
What you do not want to do is accidentally allow your battery to drop volts below 50%. I always recharge my batts by the time they reach 12 volts from dropping from a full charge of 12.6v.
Its best to leave the TT plugged in (as long as your converter/charger is a newer smart charger 3 stage model where it won't cook the battery) install a cut off switch or simply remove the cable(s) off the battery.
