We have used hand signals for years in backing up a variety of RV's and boat trailers and while hiking and canoeing. I have a whistle for emergencies but have never used it while backing the TT. We started doing it before electronic devices were available and/or dependable and haven't needed to change. We do have Walkie-Talkies to use when traveling with others or when we take two vehicles. Having a good flash light and knowing where to throw the light so the driver can see it can be important too. We take our time and both of us scope out the situation and decide where we want the TT placed. We do not live in perfect harmony but this is one area that is rarely a problem. lizzie
