well 10 ft is extreme but if things are close, a very loud "STOP" is needed instead of some undecipherable hand signal.

I agree, but after the 5th time of getting out it is a bit much. I just pull up, survey the site and back in the best way with nothing on my blind side. Never an issue! The one time i did have a spotter i snapped of a water spigot! I knew where it was, but i was told to "turn the wheel"! I should've know better!
