I do things a little differently....
First) I get out of my truck and survey the campsite to see where I want to park the trailer, then my wife tells me where she wants the trailer LOL.
Second) DW stays out to spot only for objects that I'm about to hit. I don't use her for hand signals, or distance, ect. She just stays at the back of the trailer and watches for obstacles.
Third) Either I've got the trailer parked OR she bangs her hand on the side or back of the trailer for me to hear if I'm about to hit something. So far, so good.... nothing hit yet.
