Do you equip your "backup spotter" with a walkie-talkie?

We carry radios, but I don't think that we've needed them yet. We try to go where we don't need to back up.

For directions, we use "Driver side" and "Passenger side". I have a problem with left and right (I'm fine with port and starboard, though :h). When I was learning to fly (heck, still), when told to turn left or right by my instructor or ATC, I'd glance down at the Turn and Bank indicator because it had L and R printed on it. ;)
