lets see, using them for about 5 minutes for instructions at assorted campgrounds around the country. you have better odds winning the mega bucks lottery than being caught by the FCC. I would guess that the only enforcement that the FCC does is on commercial/large users who grossly violate the law. If they are staffed sufficiently to catch a RVer backing into a spot, they should be investigated for being overstaffed/overpaid.
when I got my upgraded walkietalkies I checked the forms required and it was such a confusing mess I just quit. it is easier to understand Obamacare than the FCC regs.

Actually, the $85 license takes 2 minutes to fill out. The hard part was finding the application. Forget about business band...that is a process from hell. Worse, after 3 years it costs $400 to renew. The cheaper license is permanent.
