I have this LED strip light set on my awning. I can control when, what color, and how bright the light is for decoration or to light up the campsite.
I have that on my current TT, and it's really cool! We have been approached by camping friends and neighbors who would ask us where we got it. No, you don't have to take it down to roll up the awning. The strip is flat.
