My brother-in-law showed me a web site that has clips of vehicles passing under a train trestle that is 11'8". I only know the approximate height of my rig and need to measure it when I get it out of storage in the spring. My FW is listed at 12' 8" but mine measured 13' 1" at top of A/C Unit and after I set it up to tow level it measures 13' 4"Low bridges/overpasses are clearly marked. Folks just need to pay attention.We traveled backroads and only came upon a few that were not marked or missed the signage. Just looking it was OBVIOUS that our FW would NOT fit so we turned around. being handy and having the right tools laying around we took the time to measure our TT before hitting the road. It measures the same 10 feet 3 inches the brochure says it does. Pretty shocking, but true.

Mine is 13' 3" but the manufacture says 12' 7". Yea get out and measure it!

The sticker on my dashboard say 12' 10"

Measured mine in both English & metric. Mind you I RV in Mexico where they love archways and are not good at cutting back trees. I have a collapsible fiberglass pole I can hold up to check my clearance.

I ma 11' 7". When i lead caravans I put the highest rig behind me and I have a bright orange flexible pole with an orange plastic golf ball on the top fastened to my rear ladder. It is set about 2 inches higher than the tallest rig. If it clears something, he will, and everyone lower than him will. He just has to stay back enough to be able to stop in time.

Coolerman, would a set of rims without tires let you get through the door? I saw my manufacturer roll out a finished trailer from his shop on a set of rims with an inch to spare height wise.

My TT is supposed to be 10 ft. The issue is not how high it is, it is the fact that folks forget about clearances unit they bump.

If it is close most will look to be sure; unless they forget.

According to the brochure mine is 8'11". With the vent covers it's really about 9 1/2 feet.

I don't know the height of our new Windjammer other than to say it's about a foot higher than our old one!

Years ago there was a mall parkade nearby where I worked. Went for a walk one day at lunch and saw an entire TC at the entry sitting on the ground with the upper front all caved in and no truck in sight. Who takes a TC into a parkade?? That sure must have been loud and a sight to have watched... Sure wouldn't want to be the one explaining that to DW. :S
