I saw a guy about 10 years ago fire up his diesel at about +5 degrees, he fired it up and hauled azz only to bend every push rod in the motor... lol.. There are companies that will FIRE drivers for a 20-minute idle. I get flak for more than a 5-minute warm-up, REGARDLESS of temperature, and for idling longer than 3 minutes at any time. There is NO reason to idle that long, period!
