I don't get up at 6am, but if I did you wouldn't hear my 6.7 running because it sounds like your car engine running.
I guess I am old school because even in warm temps I let my diesel idle for a minute or so before taking off. If towing I let it warm up for several minutes before pulling out and then I keep my foot out of it for several miles.
With the newer generation of diesel engines I don't know if you have to be that concerned with warming them up, but it makes me feel better.
