If it's cold enough for some of these responses none of us will be camping anyway. Diesels in camp grounds are certainly not rare, and they are noisy at times. Like you yapping at midnight by the fire right under my window. It's just all part of living within a society. I will admit my 24 valve is annoying, it annoys me. I am still working on ways to quiet it but it is a tool with which I pull a big heavy camper and gets twice the towing fuel mileage my last gasser did.
