Two places to watch on the newer trucks.
Open the front doors and clean out the debris that collects where the bottom of the fenders curl under. That will help the fenders last a lot longer. Do it often
The other spot is as so many have mentioned is above the rear wheels. Make sure that you keep that lip flushed so that nothing can gather there that will hold moisture.
