I have two '06 Dodges. One had the lift pump go out at 30k miles. Had it replaced. truck has 99k on it now, and haven't had any problems since. My other Dodge has 112k on it. Hasn't had any problems with the lift pump. I think it's just a hit miss kind of deal too. The only problem that I've had was the transmission throttle control valve. Thats a common problem with the 48RE tranny,…common enough that the dealers usually keep the part in stock. It's any easy fix too. If you've never done it before, you can have it done in 30-40 mins. After the 1st time, you'll have it swapped out in about 20 mins or less. Also the steel fuel line for the #4 cylinder is known to spring a leak too. That's a DIYer job too.
