Dodge 3500 with "Ram Box" pick-up bed???

I am looking at another truck and the one I am looking at now has the "Ram Box" pick-up bed. Is there anyone carrying a camper with that pick-up bed?

I have a Northern Lite 811
  • Time to get your tape measure out and do some measuring. My cousin has that on his FCA truck and it looks to me like it intrudes into the bed width a bit.

Don't believe you can access the space with a TC in the bed anyway. The lids won't clear the bottom of the TC kickout.
  • When I ordered my RAM a couple years ago, I was tempted to order the Ram Box. But after a bit of measuring, I found the Ram Box and my TC wouldn't fit.

  • You will be very limited in camper choice with that style bed. Many campers widen out over the top of the the wheel wells or have wider sections aft of the wheel wells that would prevent you for using that style pickup bed.
  • Lokk at the RAM website RAM Build Sheet. ALL RAM Box trucks are "Not rated for campers" according to RAM. I'd pass on the RAM box.

  • No, not likely. Need some time with a sawzall on the truck/camper or both to fit most any camper into a Rambox bed.
