True, smog equals health problems which is why lung/bronchial cancer is by far the most common cancer in the US and the world. I just run into a lot of people who ignorantly believe that the reason for these emissions equipment is because some Prius driving liberals want to save the earth which makes them more adamantly against any emissions devices.
About nine times out of ten when I tell them the real reason these devices are on our trucks along with factual data backing it up of how harmful this stuff is to them then they are more susceptible towards emissions devices. Especially after I invite them to tell a man I looked up to, who was a very proud Green Beret Vietnam vet, that deleting their emissions equipment is more important than him being able to go outside on high risk NOx days because the NOx turning into acid in his lungs hurts him too much when he breathes.
