It's sad that China is only now realizing their mistake of being so lax'd on emissions. They've already rolled out a strategy to ramp up their emissions control efforts to achieve near Euro 5 by 2020 or something like that. China is also pushing EV's really hard. It was sad to look at how Smoggy Beijing was before the Olympics in 2008, then 2 weeks of little driving cleared the city right up. Heck, no-car days in Paris also dramatically cleans up the air there and other big European cities have experimented with no-car days. I personally hope to never see a no-car day here in the U.S., but in order for that to happen with the relative population growth and density, our vehicles must be cleaner (whether electric or ICE).
