You are a few years late for getting a Dodge truck, since they no longer make trucks. But, Ram Trucks makes a pretty good truck with a Cummins Diesel engine. Just look at how many applications use the Cummins ISB Engine, Between Motorhomes, Ram Trucks, Ford MDT, School Busses, ETC.
With respect, but you pushed a button: So, Ram is not a Dodge? Where were they built? In Dodge factories. (I know some assembled in Mexico) Where are they sold? At Dodge dealers. Who does factory service for them? Dodge dealers.
I have never seen a RAM Factory or a RAM dealership.
I own a Ram, but it is a DODGE at heart, regardless of the name on the truck. Kinda misleading. Kinda like putting a Chevy badge on a Ford and pretending it Chevy. Just does not compute with me. Never will.
That said, My Ram is the best truck I have ever owned, ever.

At a luncheon meeting of the Motor Press Guild in Los Angeles, Bob Hegbloom, Ram brand director, mapped how far it has come in five years. In fact, it was in 2009 when Chrysler announced it would separate the Ram Truck lineup from the Dodge name to better focus Ram to real truck customers and Dodge to performance enthusiasts. Many thought the separation was a huge risk, and even to this day, there are some that still call their new trucks Dodge Ram. But you can't argue with results.
