It's a gamble.
A buddy of mine got the Ram extended deal on his truck a few years back and I thought he was an idiot for doing so. 2 years ago his computer crapped out. Last year his transmission bit the dust and required a complete rebuild. A few months ago his exhaust rusted through and the muffler dropped. All was covered under the extended warranty. He made out on it.
