I pulled my 7500# trailer with a 2003 Ram 1500 5.7L and had no trouble. I did have 3.92 gears, though, which helps a bit. Just don't be afraid to let the RPMs rev -- the Hemi loves 4000+ RPMs!
Your bigger problem will be payload. The 1500 Rams have pretty low payload capabilities. Mine was a 4x2 and I was right at my limit. Since yours is a 4x4, your payload will be quite a bit lower due to the extra weight of the truck.
