- p220sigmanExplorerNo WDH for me. The truck barely moves when I hitch the Pup up and there is no discernable rise at the front wheels so there is no need. I do have a friction sway control as a small measure of insurance even though I have never had a moment of sway.
Springs/helpers don't replace a WDH if it is called for. You will probably find a significantly better towing experience with a properly set-up WHD. - rexlionExplorerWDH is worthwhile to reduce the bounces and jiggles, even if for no other reason. But it will help with the squat issue also.

Is everyone using WDH? It's probably something I'd like once I bought in, but watching the videos of hooking and unhooking wdh, I just say no thanks to all that extra rigging. I like it simple, drop the trailer on the ball, hook up some chains and go.
I find the springs on my 1500 to be really soft, and the back end squats low when I have a few 100 lbs in the bed, and hitch up my KZ.
I added some sumospring helpers last weekend and gained a few inches, plus they smoothed out the re-bound bounce I'd get going over bumps first with the truck wheels and then the trailer wheels.
I would never tow any significant size trailer without a WD hitch. We even use one to tow our 28' race hauler with a Ram 3500 dually. - GordonThreeExplorerIs everyone using WDH?
