My '04.5 Dodge trans started slipping in first gear at 154k. Had it rebuilt at a very trusted local shop. They installed a Suncoast convertor. 20 miles west of Glendive, MT.(1400 miles and 5 days from home) with the 5er in tow I am sitting on the side of the road with a torn up convertor, front seal and front pump. The local shop sent a new convertor,front pump and seal to a Glendive shop. By Tue. noon I am headed home. Local shop paid me all of my extra expenses and pulled the trans again for a complete go thru. Al internals wer just fine and they put in a Gerand(sp). We did 7k+ miles this past summer out west with no problems. Good luck with your choice.
