Love my '11 2500 Longhorn with the HO Cummins. One note on the "rougher ride"...the RAM 2500's have a button on the dash (at least my Longhorn does) that allows the rear tires to be aired down to 45 psi for unloaded/light load usage, the button lets the EVIC/TSP system know that you've aired down so that it doesn't give you a "low pressure" warning. It may be possible that the truck you test drove was aired up to 70 psi. The ride difference between 70 psi rears and 45 psi rears is night and day.
All three are good trucks, the competition is so fierce that the different manufacturers have to keep up with the others. I'm not a fan of Fords, for personal reasons, and I didn't like the GM diesel. The Longhorn fit my needs and being a MOPAR guy, was a perfect fit for us, but, had it not been, I wouldn't have had a problem with getting any of the other trucks. BTW, the heated seats and steering wheel are nice, but, I really, really like the cooled seats. Nothing like hitting the cooling button on a really hot day and feeling the cool air around your backside and back...
