This a good reason/reminder to constantly monitor your tires for wear and defects. Remember that this is a one axle setup, so a tire going down suddenly or blowing out would likely be catastrophic as opposed to a double axle setup.
Bottom line as others mentioned, replace both of your tires with some of the suggestions made here, and you should be ready to go.
