- Fast0neExplorerActually I just did a pizza in our oven for the first time and was very surprised to see how well it worked. Even the temp showing on the dial was close to what the temp gauge I put into the oven.
Maybe just try first and move the rack to the top.
And thanks for the link I still would like to try the stone in our oven. - WyoTravelerExplorer
- robsouthExplorer IIMost pizza stones are round not rectangular. We find them at a cooking outlet store nearby. Lot's of folks just use an unglazed tile from the big box home stores.
- Dog_FolksExplorerWalMart, in the households section. Look carefully on the shelf, they only sell one, so it does not take up much shelf space.
- WyoTravelerExplorerBe careful when buying pizza stone. Check thickness not just size. Good quality pizza stone 5/8 to 3/4 inch thick are best. Cheapo stuff only 1/4 inch thick. We have 3/4 by 15 by 20 and it is great but not cheap.Just google pizza stone and will come up with lots of info.
- UppercrustExplorerWe use unglazed tiles from Menards.
- SCVJeffExplorerDoesn't Bed Bath and Beyond have them?
