does anyone bring coolers anymore with full fridges?

now that I have my new 2670 tracer with the full fridge and separate freezer im just wondering if a cooler is needed anymore? it looks like a residential size frige..Dometic DM2652.. just wondering if its ok to fit soda and beer or if better off putting drinks in a cooler outside? how do others here do it? just trying to minimize space if I can..thanks for helping this newbie...

  • Keep one for ice For the mixed adult beverages and a place to keep the Jello shooters!!!
  • If we're hosting, we'll have the cooler outside with drinks on ice.
  • I have a cheapo styrofoam one that we bought on a trip that I keep in the TT all the time. Sometimes we don't use it. If it is a big trip I carry my regular coolers for beverages so the fridge is for food.
  • hmmmm. cargo area with drain? im not sure I even have that.. maybe I should look... this tracer has a ton of cargo space, but im not sure they have drains...so, if im only going on a weekend camping trip and have a 12 pack of beer, that is ok to keep in cooler, but I assume If I have a ton of people over or going for a week, then its nice to use the cooler with ice? I just purchased new cooler last month, and plan on keeping it in cargo area, but not sure if im gonna use it for just 12 pack of beer.
  • We have a full fridge and separate freezer and we ALWAYS keep a cooler in cargo. Its great in case we run out of room inside, and is nice to have extra coffee creamer and sodas. We keep it in the cago area that is not carpeted and has a drain (but isn't the sewer/water/elec compartment)
